Will+Partners has opportunities for architects and interior architects to join its team in London.
WILL+Partners is looking for super-star dynamic architects with four to five years’ post qualification experience and a passion for workplace and office interiors, and mid-weight interior architects to join our team in Waterloo, London.
We specialise in creating multi-sensory designs for blue-chip corporate clients providing cutting edge workspaces worldwide. We have designed for an extensive range of clients across various industry sectors throughout UK, UAE, Singapore, China and Europe. We believe that design has a major role in shaping the community, our work life and the wider community.
Roles and responsibilities:
- working as an all-rounder and producing detailed drawings as well as FF&E schedules
- covering all stages of the design process from concept through to installation and completion
- sourcing and procuring items including fabrics and hardware specification
- writing and coordinating detailed specifications, including budgeting and schedules
- using technical and creative skills to contribute towards interior design concepts and drawing packages
- focus on a collaborative team but you take initiative and take the lead when the circumstances call for it
- reporting to the associate and senior management
- working to grow junior designers, mentoring and leading
- visiting site and liaising with suppliers and contractors
- maintaining great client relationships with strong communication skills
- developing initial concept design in response to a client or internal brief together with the creative director and creative lead
- working together with the team ensuring the delivery of the project from concept through to completion meets all expectations set out by the client
- developing project presentation/pitch and storyboard
- have a flair for using conceptual sketches to describe and illustrate creative responses
- production of schematic and technical detailed drawing package, including an understanding of relevant schedules and specifications
- ownership of created documentation
- source/research materials or products to support responses
- ensure company protocol is fully understood and adhered to, and internal working relation is maintained
- attend and assist in client meetings, presentations, briefings and workshops
- a maturity for understanding the complexities of project schedule and timeline
- organise and keep track of project files, drawing issues, correspondence etc
Skills and experience:
- exceptional eye for great innovative design
- three plus years of experience
- a rocket with Revit
- a good understanding of the entire design process from RIBA stage 0 – 7
- would benefit from Enscape experience
- a passion for all facets of design and creation
- knowledge of the design trends and industry suppliers
- a great attitude and team player mindset
- high quality graphic and representation
- ability to perform practical work in relation to design, such as models and prototypes
- a ‘muck in, no task too big or small’ attitude
What we offer:
- salary of £30,000 to £40,000 dependent on experience
