Mid-weight interior designer
at WISH Interior Architecture
WISH Interior Architecture is looking for a full-time or freelance mid-weight interior designer to join its team in London.

We have a wealth of experience in the luxury residential, hospitality and commercial markets and we pride ourselves on our ability to adapt to the individual requirements and demands of each project in order to deliver a bespoke and unique solution for our clients, whatever their size or budget.

Over the course of the last 15 years, we have had the privilege of working alongside some of the major players in the design and construction industries. This network of trusted contacts has enabled us to design and oversee the delivery of many interior projects, both nationally and internationally.
Our ideal candidate would be a highly creative, organised and talented individual who has the capabilities to lead a job from concept to completion. As well as having flair and a drive to push creative boundaries, the candidate must be proactive and organised, plus have the confidence and skills to be client facing. We require a person who has a passion and knowledge of a wide spectrum of design disciplines including, architecture, art, fashion, lifestyle trends, furniture, graphics and FF&E. They must have the technical ability to produce full drawing packages, using Vectorworks. We are a small team and the candidate must be able to fit into this seamlessly.
Required experience:
- a qualification in interior design or interior architecture
- at least three to four years’ post- post-graduate experience across the sectors
- strong Vectorworks skills are crucial
- full proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) Microsoft Suite including Excel and Word
- knowledge of EstiMac/EstiPC would be advantageous
- experience working on all aspects of FF&E and interior projects through all stages
- financial understanding of project costs and budget awareness
- excellent level of written and spoken English
Responsibilities and qualities
You will be working on two to three projects from start to completion and will be able to carry out the following core tasks:
- preparing sample boards, schedules and specification documents for tender
- technical ability to produce full drawing packages; delivering RIBA stages 2,3 and 4 drawing packages under the supervision of the MD and senior team
- must be a creative, passionate and diligent interior designer with a keen eye for detail and a thorough way of working, being organised is a crucial part of the job
- a comprehensive knowledge of products, UK suppliers, bespoke furniture and detailing, fabrics, furnishings, fixtures and fittings
- ability to sketch freehand would be advantageous
- good presentation skills and confidence when discussing client’s requirements
- work with contractors and suppliers to ensure the design and quality are executed as per specifications and of the highest standard
- carrying out site visits to oversee construction progress
- understanding project timelines and communication responsibilities

- initial 22 days holiday and bank holidays
- additional Christmas holidays (two to three days) at the MD’s discretion
- the role will be based at our studio in London, with opportunities to work from home; the applicant must have the legal right to work in the UK
- flexible working hours; including a morning start between 09:00-09:30.
