Yellow Studio

Yellow is an architecture and design studio that focuses on saving the world. First of all, we have the solution to end climate change. To eradicate global pollution and make energy an entitlement to every person including the 99%. We are the only company that can design emission-free, carbon-positive buildings from a temporary shelter for the homeless to each and every city. Furthermore, not only have we designed and registered successful patents in various industries, we are ready to implement and make things happen.

Yellow, architecture and design studio can offer a range of services from all aspects of development from design to construction to handover. Furthermore, working closely with our development arm, we have the knowledge, the skills and the will to challenge the status quo. If you are like the rest of the team and slightly bored of being a small cog in a large machine, be apart of a cultural revolution we are trying to create. Working hand in hand with our energy company: Symbio Energy, we are in a unique position to make a lasting difference to the world.

We are troubled by the skyrocketing home prices. As a result, hundreds of thousands of people will not be able to afford their own homes. With the mission to provide 100% social housing that is emission-free. Therefore, it will run on embedded renewable sources of energy, making the cost of energy consumed almost zero to its residents. As a social housing provider, we hope to give everyone an equal chance of owning their own home.

In addition, we can help you plan and develop your sustainable ideas to be market-ready. Using the technologies of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), we can create realistic walkthroughs, so your potential clients can step into their future home, today.

The role

The architect must be an experienced designer with attention to detail.  Portfolio of residential projects and commercial will be favourable for review by the studio.

This position is a strategic appointment supporting an existing team of designers and an architect. The organisation employs offshore architects and designers to aid in the process. The architect will need to work with the staff located within the global offices via virtual management along with the teams in the UK. Our larger office is based in Goa, with a strong team of architects and town planners.

A large part of this role would be to understand basic commercial aspects of growing a SME, working with new clients and building a general understanding of property development. We currently are in control of various developments of our own, which gives us a unique take on design and development within the built environment.

TIPA – total internal photonic absorption

Funded by the Department for International Development, this project aims to provide sustainable, affordable and reliable electricity to areas of the world most at need. Our technology harnesses all the benefits of solar panels into a more compact, cost-effective and reliable design, revolutionising the way that energy can be supplied. In providing an environmentally sustainable option that is efficient and reliable, we hope to reduce the world’s reliance on fossil fuels while also providing all the benefits of modern life.

Alongside our typical planning submissions and designs, we are very much a sustainably lead design practice. We are also working closely with a tier 1 university to help us design a low-cost solar panel to be manufactured in Lagos. Although this project is not a typical project which will fall within the helms of an architect, we are in need of curious minds and people with the ability to think about design with various items.
