Hawkins\Brown is seeking a bid writer and content producer to join its team in London.

Hawkins\Brown are looking for a bid writer and content producer to join their busy and creative London office. The successful candidate would be working within the new business team, reporting directly to the bid manager.

This role is pivotal in shaping compelling bid submissions and producing high-quality content that reflects our studio’s design ethos, values and strategic ambitions. The role will involve working closely with the Bid Manager and wider team throughout the entire tender process. The successful candidate should be fully proficient in InDesign and have knowledge of the built environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • lead the writing and coordination of bid submissions, EOIs, SQs and ITTs across public and private sector opportunities
  • proactively ensure all content produced adheres to brand guidelines and is thoroughly proofread prior to submission
  • collaborate with internal teams of architects, designers, and leadership as well as external consultants to craft persuasive narratives tailored to client briefs
  • produce engaging written and visual content for case studies, capability statements and marketing collateral
  • maintain and evolve a library of bid content, CVs and project sheets
  • support the team in developing pitch presentations and client-facing materials
  • explore and implement new technologies, workflows and processes to improve how we create and deliver our bids and proposals
  • coordinate internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts, managing timelines and responsibilities to ensure timely and high-quality submissions

Skills and experience:

  • proven experience in bid writing, ideally within architecture, design or the built environment
  • exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail
  • strong organisational and project management abilities
  • proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite
  • a collaborative mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • interest in new technologies and new ways of working
