Kaiserworks is seeking an entry-level designer to join its team in Phoenix, Arizona.
Entry-level position with optional on-site housing.
Kaiserworks is a downtown Phoenix, Arizona–based architecture and design office engaged in a broad range of work—from micro-dwellings in the forest to multi-family housing, restaurant design, multi-story, new build, office design. We are seeking an energetic, versatile individual to join our team in an entry-level role. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is proactive, assertive, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, family-style design environment. The design studio is located in a 1907 Grand Pyramid Cottage, located in a historic district in downtown Phoenix, walking distance to restaurants and other City attractions. Kaiserworks is an environment where excelling leads to greater responsibility.
Key responsibilities:
- CAD drafting, SketchUp, Photoshop, 3D printing
- be present in meetings, generate meeting minutes plus follow up, provide hands-on support
- bring initiative and resourcefulness to problem-solving plus design challenges
- run errands and assist with day-to-day tasks
Who you are:
- a self-starter who takes initiative, sees needs and proactively engages
- comfortable wearing many hats and shifting quickly between tasks
- reliable, helpful, eager to learn, and proactive in finding solutions
- strong communicator and well organized, both within the team and with consultants, clients, and vendors
- skilled in design, presentations, space planning, and coordinating detailed drawing sets (a plus, not required)
- proficient in Photoshop, InDesign, and AutoCAD; familiarity with SketchUp is a bonus
- able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- mature, responsible, and dependable, with a positive, team-oriented, hands-on approach
