The role

The project manager is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of bespoke sculptural installation projects. Achieving client objectives regarding scope, quality and timing, as well as providing valuable input internally to maintain and constantly improve the overall level of expertise and the luxury service provided by Sharon Marston Ltd. The role requires overseeing projects of a wide variety and, therefore, requires high levels of the organisation and a keen attention to detail.

Key responsibilities:

  • primary point of contact for enquiries, communicating with clients to establish their requirements and assisting them in visualising and understanding the technicalities of the works intended
  • liaising with the creative director for the scope and schedule of each commission
  • Preparation of all office documentation as well as proposal drawings and presentation pitches for new projects
  • creating technical drawings of the works from information obtained from suppliers and engineers
  • managing the day to day operations of a busy bespoke international design company
  • recording and ordering all production materials and maintaining relationships with suppliers
  • liaise with engineers, contractors, manufacturers and shipping companies to ensure services are within the project parameters to deliver on time
  • coordinating with the studio team to ensure all work is professionally executed internally to high luxury standards
  • managing the market research and company PR

The following competencies are essential for the successful candidate:

  • minimum of six years experience
  • the ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and Microsoft Office
  • good communication skills and an eye for detail are essential
  • good spoken and written English and a sound writing ability
  • ability to manage time effectively and a thorough work ethic to oversee numerous tasks simultaneously
  • adaptable, flexible and use to working within a small company
