Studio/office manager

Peter Mikic Interiors is looking for an experienced studio/office manager to join its London office. 

Studio/office manager to support all areas of the studio and property maintenance.We are looking for someone with previous experience of working in a fast-paced creative environment, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities. No day will be the same and the successful candidate will be able to adapt to the changing needs of the office.

Responsibilities:

  • helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office
  • assisting the studio/office directors, design team and accounts with project specific duties
  • coordinating maintenance/repair work for office buildings
  • supporting the design team with diary management, including travel arrangements
  • maintain office stock, stationary, kitchen cupboards etc.
  • managing the stock inventory – furniture, lighting, fabrics
  • updating website with new projects, press etc. – via user-friendly back end site
  • assisting with procurement of FFE items, and coordinating deliveries
  • collating/recording expenses and petty cash
  • answering the telephone and directing calls as required
  • support all employees with administrative tasks where required E.G printing, filing, archiving and other ad hoc duties
  • updating contacts

Skills required:

  • an eye for detail and an ability to maintain accuracy of work under pressure
  • excellent time management skills; able to work to multiple deadlines and prioritise workload
  • clear and succinct communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, who can confidently and sensitively liaise with members of the team as well as clients, client’s PAs, contractors and architects, in person, over the phone, and via email
  • a positive, friendly, and practical approach to daily issues and problem solving. Able to adapt to change and respond positively to new challenges
  • take initiative, must be able to work with little direction in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to think logically and sensibly about how tasks and the role affect other parts of the business
  • utmost discretion – essential when assisting with confidential matters
  • excellent spelling, grammar and vocabulary
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs/Gmail and Apple Mac usability – essential. Adobe Photoshop/InDesign – useful
  • ideally have an interest in interior design/design in general
