Broadway Malyan is looking for a senior architect to join its studio in Birmingham, UK.
We currently have a vacancy for an architect in our Birmingham studio
with exceptional design skills. You must be able to lead other architects,
designers and technicians through the design process in order to deliver
award winning world class projects. The ideal candidate will have
exceptional communications skills enabling them to both inspire and
engage clients about a creative concept whilst also having the ability to
co-ordinate and drive forward technical delivery.
We are seeking a proactive, collaborative individual who is keen to work in a design focussed team with the following qualifications and experience:
- fully qualified architect
- at least five year architectural design project experience and project
delivery experience - experience delivering design concepts at a range of scales
- preferably seeing project work through to design development and
construction drawing stages - ability to delight and excite clients with provocative discourse
- an interest or experience in collaborating with colleagues in other
sectors and global locations - a member of ARB or RIBA
- experience of working in the West Midlands would be preferable
but not essential
We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate these key skills:
- excellent hand sketching skills to develop concepts and communicate ideas to clients
- advance experience in design software including Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe
Creative Suite - knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper and/or Enscape would be desirable
- familiarity with building regulations and UK construction standards but with a strong emphasis on RIBA stage 1-4
- experienced in producing design reports and presentations
- ability to brief external agencies on the production of good quality CGIs and 3D assets
