Temporary mid-senior interior designer
at Base Interior
Base Interior is seeking a skilled middleweight to senior interior designer to temporarily join its London studio for three months.
Applicant
We are looking for a creative designer, who shares our passion for design to join our team. Although the strong technical ability is key for this position, FF&E experience and knowledge is also a requirement. As an interior designer working for this company, exposure to all stages of the project will be commonplace and having your design input not only on the initial conceptual stages but also later on the delivery and execution of these incredible projects. Individuals of both a mid-weight and senior level are being considered for this position.
The role
You will be part of a team of designers reporting to the director and head of design. You will require experience in high-end residential. Using your creative skills and technical knowledge you will be creating concepts, developing ideas and evolving fit-out details to take the design through to documentation and completion. A good understanding of each element of the project, from the conceptual stages through to the completion of the project is key. Site based experience is essential.
Requirements:
- at least five years’ UK experience, predominantly in residential design
- a relevant interior design or architecture degree
- ability to work under own initiative and as an integral part of the team
- advanced level of AutoCAD, 3D modelling/visual rendering experience and good ability with Photoshop
- good level of understanding of materials, finishes and FF&E
- technical drawing, e.g. tender packages, schedules and specifications coordination with other consultants, site liaison
- must have experience running multiple projects at different stages of the design process
- good verbal and written communication skills
- able to lead and mentor other staff members
- must have UK work experience
- eligibility to work in the UK
- must have creative experience
- must have experience of running projects
- experience and knowledge of presentations in front of clients
Salary: between 30k to 40k depending on experience.
