AJK Architecture + Design is looking for a Part 1 architectural assistant/technician to join its growing London team.

Established in 2016, AJK is a young, London-based architecture firm with projects predominantly within the residential sector, based in London, surrounding areas and southern England.

We are looking for a talented, highly motivated and enthusiastic architectural assistant or technician, ideally with past experience to assist on a variety of scales of projects.

We work collaboratively and openly and are always seeking new challenges and opportunities to create interesting and considered architecture. We pride ourselves in delivering projects that exceeds a clients own desires and brief.

Your responsibilities may include:

• small domestic building surveys
• assisting in various areas of the design and construction packages
• preparing, developing and editing drawings, images and other documents relating to the design
• coordinating with and reviewing information from consultants and contractors under supervision of senior architects.
• The role is available immediately.

Candidates should:

• have previous office experience in the UK
• have excellent creative design capabilities, demonstrated by a design portfolio
• be self-driven and motivated, be proactive, work efficiently and systematically with the team within an energetic environment to meet project demands and deadlines
• have a flexible and open attitude towards working and ability to handle multiple roles and responsibilities within a growing office
• have a good technical understanding of construction methods and detailing
• have the ability to use a variety of media and be proficient in 2D and 3D technical skills predominantly including (but not exclusively): AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite packages: Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator
• legally able to work in the UK
• salary to be discussed
