Part 2 architectural assistant
at Beasley Dickson Architects
Beasley Dickson Architects is looking for a Part 2 architectural assistant with exceptional design skills to join its studio in London.
We are a design led practice with a portfolio of refurbishment, new build and restoration work throughout London and the south east. We currently have an exciting mix of challenging projects: including a new build house in Surrey, a writing and recording studio in Northamptonshire, and several private residential projects in London. The studio was shortlisted for BD Young Architect of the Year 2020 and will shortly be published in the Architecture Foundation’s forthcoming book New Architects 4.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects of all scales, responsible for supporting project teams at each stage of a project’s design development, from concept to completion on site. They will also be contributing to the day to day running of the practice. We are keen to find a committed new colleague who can add complementary technical skills to our team. We frequently work on several projects at the same time which requires a proactive attitude and flexibility in working.
Candidates should have an eye for contemporary design and detailing with the ability to show initiative to suit the varying demands of the projects. We have a number of projects on site and can offer good levels of responsibility and opportunities to progress for the right candidate. The salary will reflect the candidate’s experience.
The ideal candidate will:
- be creative
- have excellent language, presentation and communication skills
- be fluent in 2D CAD software, Google Docs/Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite – experience in Microstation is advantageous
- be skilled at producing high quality 3D imagery
