Part 3 architect
at EVA Studio

EVA Studio is currently seeking a Part 3 qualified architect (or equivalent qualification) to join its London office.

EVA Studio, or Emergent Vernacular Architecture, undertakes projects with a social agenda. We are currently working on public spaces, community infrastructure, housing and research projects in the UK, Haiti and Lebanon. The practice is nimble and growing and the role offers the opportunity to establish EVA’s presence in London, contributing both to the studio’s identity-making process and helping the delivery of our current projects.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Part 3 architect (or equivalent qualification) demonstrating excellent technical knowledge and a keen interest in detailing, along with a track record of leading projects through planning permission as well as through the technical design and construction stages.

The applicant needs to be able to work in a project architect capacity organising an internal team. The applicant must have the ability to organise drawing sets, produce outline specifications and manage external consultants’ information.

Skills and competencies:

  • three years minimum of practice experience in the UK (post-Part 3, or equivalent)
  • good concept designer with experience of working on housing and public realm projects
  • ability to deliver at all RIBA stages 0-7 is essential, including preparing the necessary documentation to submit planning applications, producing comprehensive tender and working drawings packages, NBS specifications
  • high-quality presentation skills are essential
  • excellent communication skills and the ability to form strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors
  • excellent spoken and written English is imperative
  • good spoken and written French (beneficial but not essential)
  • full proficiency of the following software are required: AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, V-Ray, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • permit to work in the UK
