DSDHA is recruiting a PA to join its growing support team in London.
DSDHA are an award-winning architecture, urban design and research studio, whose internationally acclaimed work is engaged in a constant search for new forms of beauty and driven by the ethos that ‘the city is our client’, placing people to the fore of what we do. By deploying our spatial intelligence across a broad range of scales – from infrastructure to intimacy – we produce urban strategies and bespoke designs that tap into each project’s latent potential to foster positive urban change.
The PA to support one director and two associate directors based in our dynamic studio in Vauxhall.
A key member of our support team, you will use your excellent organisation skills to ensure the directors’ time and communication are managed carefully and effectively. Externally you will be an outstanding representative of the studio to clients and collaborators, while internally you will be an approachable resource supporting our project teams with a wide range of administrative support. You will be proactive, anticipating the directors’ needs, as well as adaptable and willing to muck in when necessary to help our busy studio run smoothly.
Key responsibilities:
- administrative support to one director and two associate directors, including comprehensive management of diaries, incoming communications, expenses and travel
- ensure directors are informed of diary commitments and assist in preparation for upcoming appointments
- liaison with key clients in a professional manner, and acting a key contact for client enquiries in directors’ absence
- assist in the production of documents and reports for the directors and project teams
- assisting with day-to-day studio administrative duties, including database management
- attendance at and minuting of associates’ forum and project architects’ forum, as well as other internal meetings as required
- assisting with front of house duties to maintain a continuous and professional front of house, including receiving telephone calls, greeting studio guests and preparing for in-house meetings
- provide studio-wide document control assistance and filing support to project teams
- coordination of external reprographic needs
- occasional organisation of internal and external events
- occasional HR administration as required
Skills and experience required:
- experience in a similar role, ideally within the architecture or design industry
- ability to prioritise, problem solve and act on own initiative
- ability to demonstrate discretion and sensitivity around confidential information
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the utmost professionalism when liaising with internal and external contacts
- high level of self-organisation and attention to detail
- proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
