Sheppard Robson is looking for a marketing and communications assistant to join its firm in Manchester, UK.
Sheppard Robson is one of the UK’s most established architectural practices, with a reputation for thoughtful and responsible designs. The Manchester studio is looking for an energetic, creative and versatile communications assistant to join its 80-strong team.
The role is to work alongside the existing business development marketing communications (BDMC) team in Manchester to assist in delivering bids, communications projects as well as being flexible to assist the wider team when required.
This is a broad position with an opportunity to bring your own skills to the table and shape elements of the role.
Key tasks include assisting in:
- collating and designing bid documents, presentations and collateral
- updating the intranet, website and photography archive
- organising photographic shoots
- planning and deliver events
- keeping marketing materials up to date
- supporting the team with key administrative tasks
Requirements:
- experience in using the Adobe Suite, particularly InDesign. This is an entry position but a degree/qualifications in a related subject is desirable
- an interest in architecture and design
- good attention to detail, in both the visual and written form is a must
- working effectively with a team, supporting Sheppard Robson’s collaborative culture and way of working
- a positive can-do attitude that can balance creative work alongside more admin-based tasks
- a clear communicator that can work alongside the BDMC team as well as staff, including senior members of the team, from across the office
- be able to keep calm and prepared with methodical planning
- disciplined time management but must remain flexible to deadlines
