Southstudio has an opening for an architectural assistant/architect to join its London-based team.
Southstudio are seeking a talented architectural assistant or architect with three-five years’ professional experience. This is a full-time position based at our north London office.
Southstudio are a design-led practice, working on a diverse and expanding range of projects in London and the South East. These currently include a 140 unit affordable housing scheme, a church redevelopment and a number of private houses. We are seeking a creative and well-organised person, with an emphasis on good visualisation and graphic skills. The selected candidate must be self-motivated, with a clear agenda to deliver design quality at all stages.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious person to make their mark in a smaller practice. We are seeking someone who can help to grow the company, with a clear pathway to design and management responsibility.
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a minimum of two years’ experience in UK professional practice, and a capability to produce rigorous and detailed design information, often to a tight programme. An ability to work proactively with clients, stakeholders, design team and construction professionals is also key.
Southstudio operate from offices in London and Tunbridge Wells. Whilst this position is primarily based in London, candidates based in Kent and Sussex may be considered on a flexible working arrangement to be discussed.

- English fluency (written and spoken)
- AutoCad (plus ideally Revit)
- SketchUp
- V-Ray
- Photoshop
- InDesign
