Junior interior designer

Mad Atelier is looking for a talented part-time junior interior design assistant to join its office in east London, for three days a week.
We are a process-led architectural design studio that delivers innovative, individual and functional architectural solutions. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic interior designer assistant to join our small team.
Established in 2013 and specialised in residential architecture, we are now working on a wide range of projects. MAD Martinelli Architecture & Design recently opened their studio to the public with a concept showroom called Mad Atelier, featuring furniture, lighting, art and decorative objects.
Our portfolio includes new residential buildings, home extensions and refurbishments, gastronomic interiors, boutique hotels, mixed-use development schemes.
Skills and attributes:
- produce innovative and inspirational interior design concepts and mood boards
- communicate project ideas using 3D interior modelling software
- liaise with clients and organise samples
- proactively assist seeking new initiatives and collaborations
- keen interest in current and emerging trends, styles, materials and finishes
- assisting with general day to day office management when needed
- fluent in English both written and spoken
- excellent communication skills
- degree in interior design with creative thinking
- able to assist with all aspects of projects: floor plans, elevations, bespoke joinery, kitchen, bathrooms, outdoor spaces
- able to manage FF&E sourcing and procurement, strong research skills
- Strong technical skills: Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Microstation (desiderable), Office
- capable of building presentations in InDesign
- good knowledge of European and UK suppliers and manufacturers
- good hand sketching skills
- eligible to work in the UK
- available to start ASAP
