Aroundtown Management NL is looking for an architect/interior designer to join its team in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Aroundtown Management NL is a real estate company with a focus on income generating quality properties with value-add potential in central locations in top tier cities primarily in Germany and the Netherlands.
Focused in hospitality, the company acquires assets operated by major international brands.
The design is done internally under the supervision of designer Saar Zafrir.
Aroundtown Management NL is looking for an interior designer or an architect with a passion for interior design in the hospitality and residential design in its office based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Qualities and skills
The candidate is an interior designer/architect responsible for managing multiple projects ranging from small to large-sized of basic to complex scope including full architectural solutions in coordination with an architect.
The applicant should:
- be able to handle complex tenders and projects
- have the ability to represent the office in meetings and presentations
- be creative
- have the ability to create mood boards and FF&E specifications
- be able to create freehand sketches as well as digital sketches
- interpret program requirements, develop detailed designs
- research; able to obtain project information; fabrics, furniture, architectural elements
- prepare plans, specifications and tender packages
- develop detailed furniture plans specifications and tender packages
- motivated and passionate about design
- able to create design intent package
- have knowledge of construction techniques and detailing skill
- have construction site experience
- have excellent communicative skills in English
- be able to do various office chore
- have project manager skills is a plus
- able to work in a team and interact with clients, construction workers, suppliers
- be able to work on several projects at the same time
- proactive attitude, problem-solving skills, team player, eager to learn and can-do attitude
Software:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- Adobe CS
- MS Office is a must
- Revit is a plus
Education and experience:
- have a degree or a foreign equivalent in interior design, architecture or similar
- minimal hospitality experience of two years – (hotels, restaurants, bars, retails and interior design project in general)
