Camron PR is recruiting an account executive to join its team in New York.

We are expanding our New York office and seeking a new account executive with two years’ experience and with a strong background in media relations and event management. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with two-three years of PR experience and a solid understanding of shelter and lifestyle media. This position will be responsible for playing a major role in the development and execution of communication and event strategies.

Responsibilities:

• build and maintain targeted lists for national and regional media
• proactively pitch and confirm local and national media
• manage event timelines and coordinate vendors
• liaise with clients to provide timely reports and updates
• oversee event logistics including guest list management and check-in, run of show, and post-event wrap-up and recaps
• seek out suitable local partners and key opinion formers for regional events

Job requirements:

• knowledge and understanding of shelter and lifestyle media, including magazines, newspapers, and blogs
• two-three years of public relations and events experience in design, luxury goods, art or a related industry
• bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field
• knowledge and/or interest of interior design, home furnishings, and visual culture
• ability to multi-task with shifting priorities
