McBride Architects is seeking a project architect to join its firm in New York, USA.

We are a small Manhattan-based architectural firm specializing in single-family new construction and renovation work in New York City and the Northeast.

Qualifications:

• eight-ten years of experience working for a residential firm, with experience in the design and construction of renovations, additions, and new wood-framed single-family homes
• experience or interest in the design and construction of passive homes and net-zero homes
• excellent skills in client communications, contract administration, project scheduling, and consultant coordination
• ability to produce construction documents and oversee construction administration with minimal supervision
• fluency in AutoCAD, preferably with experience in SketchUp, or comparable rendering program, and Adobe Creative Suite
• extensive understanding of materials, construction processes, systems, and methodologies
• the ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, focused and self-motivated
• exceptional multi-tasking skills and ability to work toward multiple deadlines
