Sheppard Robson is looking for an IT director to join its office in London.
Sheppard Robson is one of the UK’s most established architectural practices, with a reputation for thoughtful and responsible designs. The London studio is looking for an IT director to take a leading role in the strategic and day to day management of business systems and the IT team.
Key tasks include:
- oversight and management of all IT issues and activity in our London, Manchester and Glasgow offices
- management of remote satellite site offices
- leadership and management of all IT department staff
- strategic direction of the IT landscape and contribution to the business plan
- hands-on approach and leadership of key high-level tactical problems and implementations
- excellent program management skills in order to successfully deliver multiple technical projects
Requirements:
- excellent communication and motivation skills
- five-plus years in a similar role and with the experience to bring fresh ideas to the team
- an interest in architecture and design
- strong attention to detail
- extensive working knowledge of existing and emerging computing systems, critical business systems and infrastructure
- ability to work effectively within and running a team, supporting Sheppard Robson’s collaborative culture
- a positive, can-do attitude
- ability to communicate clearly and confidently to all levels across the practice
- disciplined time management, yet with flexibility in relation to deadlines
- ability to keep calm under pressure, and organised with methodical planning
- a degree, or qualifications in a related subject, is desirable
