Sheppard Robson is looking for an IT director to join its office in London.

Sheppard Robson is one of the UK’s most established architectural practices, with a reputation for thoughtful and responsible designs. The London studio is looking for an IT director to take a leading role in the strategic and day to day management of business systems and the IT team.

Key tasks include:

  • oversight and management of all IT issues and activity in our London, Manchester and Glasgow offices
  • management of remote satellite site offices
  • leadership and management of all IT department staff
  • strategic direction of the IT landscape and contribution to the business plan
  • hands-on approach and leadership of key high-level tactical problems and implementations
  • excellent program management skills in order to successfully deliver multiple technical projects

Requirements:

  • excellent communication and motivation skills
  • five-plus years in a similar role and with the experience to bring fresh ideas to the team
  • an interest in architecture and design
  • strong attention to detail
  • extensive working knowledge of existing and emerging computing systems, critical business systems and infrastructure
  • ability to work effectively within and running a team, supporting Sheppard Robson’s collaborative culture
  • a positive, can-do attitude
  • ability to communicate clearly and confidently to all levels across the practice
  • disciplined time management, yet with flexibility in relation to deadlines
  • ability to keep calm under pressure, and organised with methodical planning
  • a degree, or qualifications in a related subject, is desirable
