Regional lead architect/architectural consultant
at Asif Khan
Asif Khan is seeking a regional lead architect/architectural consultant to join its team in London.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate who will be based in our UK office, leading projects and delivering our current work in overseas regions, specifically Kazakhstan.
Candidates demonstrate the ability to:
- supervise the team in preparing the appropriate level of information for projects from initial concept through to detailed technical design
- supervise the production of project reports and applications for planning and building control departments in Kazakhstan
- remotely supervise the work of consultant teams working in Kazakhstan
- supervise the production of visualisations and videos as appropriate
- supervise the production of physical and 3D models of projects as appropriate
- coordinate project design with other design team members and external consultants to achieve the client’s technical brief
- prepare and present reports and design proposals to the client to develop project brief
- prepare fee proposals
- liaise with clients across multiple languages
The candidate must demonstrate that they know and understand Kazakh culture first hand through currently or previously living in Kazakhstan.
They must have a highly developed sense of aesthetics, and capabilities of design critique alongside their technical knowledge. They must have an understanding of contemporary visual arts, technological innovation and human behaviour.
They must demonstrate experience of leading large design teams on major scale international design-led architectural projects in Russian language, specifically in Kazakhstan and have previously delivered large scale international design-led architectural and public realm projects in Kazakstan. The candidate will have a deep knowledge of designing and delivering expo infrastructure.
They must speak and write fluent English and fluent Russian and have travelled widely globally.
The candidate must have lived or studied in the UK before. Candidates who have not will not be considered.
Starting salary: £42,500 – £47,500 based on experience.
