Background

We are a boutique global design firm with an integrated approach to architecture, interiors and art, based in London operating across five regions, with projects across Canada and in the USA, UK, Middle East, Asia and Australia.
The role
We are looking for an experienced BIM manager to work on concept/schematic design/detail design/construction documents, providing design and documentation on both commercial and residential schemes. Principally coordination with facades, structural and MEP consultants in 2D and 3D Revit.
The BIM manager will be responsible for BIM standards development and implementation. This includes the creation of template files, training staff as required, assist in developing BIM documentation and workflow processes, quality control practices and development of the company’s standards.
Qualifications/skills and experience:
- in-depth proven experience as a BIM manager (Revit)
- a thorough understanding of the UK regulations and processes
- an understanding of federated Revit models on a larger scale
- building a family library, modelling, auditing & implementing families
- coordination between all design team disciplines, with the ability to guide and manage their BIM team with our own
- understanding of formal and informal clash detection processes, Navisworks etc.
- schedule/take off relevant data from Revit model
- a special interest in the technical aspect of construction
- a leader of BIM and Revit and a mentor to others
- an emphasis on design quality
- maintains a collection of models from different sources
