Millier is seeking an FF&E procurement assistant to join its team in London.
Millier, an international interior architecture and design studio, is looking for a self-motivated FF&E procurement assistant to join its team in Central London. This is a very exciting opportunity for someone to learn and grow within our rapidly expanding team.
We are recruiting for a procurement assistant to work alongside our head of procurement and to assist our operations manager as and when necessary. The chosen candidate would be responsible for assisting in procuring the FF&E for high end luxury residential projects. Every piece of furniture, joinery and furnishings are designed and manufactured specifically for our clients with the highest attention to detail at the forefront of what we set out to deliver.
This role would suit a bright, intelligent candidate with excellent and clear communication skills and who is IT proficient, thrives in organisation and good with numbers. The candidate should either already have a background in interior design in order to understand processes, or at the very least a creative mind to work well alongside our design studio and the rest of the team. The ideal candidate should show an interest in design but is not necessary to be a designer.
It will be the candidate’s responsibility to ensure the supply of goods is delivered on time and within budget, and in the most efficient manner ensuring the accountant and design team are kept informed of all necessary compliance. You will be expected to hold strong relationships with the rest of the team and with our network of suppliers, ensuring regular and open communication and teamwork.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
- collaborate with procurement manager and FF&E design team to ascertain the timeline, budget and deadlines for each of our projects
- assist the procurement manager with sourcing all the information and samples necessary to complete the detailed specification document
- responsible for setting up the procurement schedule and budget on Estimac software
- organise the purchasing schedule, liaising with the team to ensure all project milestones are reached
- working closely with the suppliers and accountant to raise all pro forma invoices
- filing all documentation in an orderly manner and record all payments made with accuracy
- liaise with suppliers ensuring all lead times are met and all information on orders accurately noted
- administrate and track all orders in the purchase process providing timely updates to procurement manager and project design team
- ability to speak to suppliers in a clear and professional manner
- maintain and update samples library and clearly label all project boxes
Salary will be determined by the candidate’s individual experience.
