Part 2 architectural assistant
at West Port
West Port has an opportunity for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its studio in London.
West Port is looking for an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant who is available to work on a selection of exciting projects within our practice. The chosen person will help the project architects and wider design team on our current projects across all RIBA stages, gaining experience in major planning applications and on-site construction. The role is permanent but due to the current situation with Covid-19, you will be required to work remotely until early 2021, with designated internal team meetings set for the projects.
West Port is an emerging architecture studio based in Maida Hill, London and we are a small team with a diverse range of cultural and professional experiences. We treasure our varied international and interdisciplinary backgrounds, believing this combination to be the source of our ability to successfully collaborate with a range of clients and individuals.
Despite the complexities concerning Covid-19, West Port are currently looking to expand and grow in 2021 and we are focused on creating a practice of like-minded individuals and an array of talent. We can offer help and mentorship to any Part 2 who would like to pursue their Part 3 qualification. What we can also offer in addition to working on our exciting projects is flexibility and support throughout.
Experience:
- a RIBA Part 2 or equivalent degree qualification, with the desire and ability to gain the Part 3
- experience working in practice
Skills:
- knowledge of the UK statutory regulations and planning system
- good creative and design skills
- experience working within Revit is a plus along with other Autodesk software
- digital model making, sketching, Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign skills
- ability to work independently and take the initiative
- able to work to tight schedules and ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-moving environment
- ambition and motivation to learn
