at Drøme Architects
DRØME ARCHITECTS is seeking an architect to join its team in Liverpool, UK.
We are expanding our team in 2021 and are looking for a talented architect with residential experience to join our practice on a full-time basis. You will be designing and delivering a mixture of high value bespoke houses and large scale residential projects across the RIBA work stages.
Salary as per RIBA salary guide, negotiated dependant upon relevant experience and skills. The application deadline is 1700hrs on Monday 18th January 2021, please submit your CV with a link to a portfolio of your work and state your proposed start date.
Some practices have a prescriptive list of skills or experiences as mandatory requirements, we are not like that. If you are not capable of transferring skills or learning new computer programmes then you would not have lasted this long in architecture.
An ideal candidate would have:
- great drawing ability in 2D and 3D, be that freehand, measured drawing, Vectorworks, SketchUp or other. Show us what you can do and how you do it
- presentation skills: we use photography, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and model making to communicate our ideas. It would be fantastic to find someone with a good graphic eye and illustrative aesthetic that improves the way we show the world what we do
- run projects on site. You need to be able to get around and have the confidence to chair meetings. If you don’t have that experience currently you will learn with us
- the ability to not always agree and know how to disagree. Design comes through debate, challenge and dialogue
- the grit to work hard and play hard
- most importantly, experience or enthusiasm for conceptual and detail design in architecture. At DRØME you take a project from start to finish
