Joseph Walsh Studio, situated in County Cork, Ireland, encompasses a design studio, workshop, gallery and archive. Here art, craft, design and technical innovation merge in the creation of exquisite and expressive pieces that open up new possibilities in material and form.
Having recently created three distinct units, namely a design studio, workshop and gallery/archive, Joseph Walsh Studio are now currently inviting applications and expressions of interest for a sales and communications role in the gallery unit. The successful candidate will participate in the development and implementation of the studio’s sales and communications strategy. They will contribute to the creation of marketing material and digital content. Actively managing studio enquiries, client and media communications, they will understand the studio’s creative ambitions while also possessing a commercial awareness.
They will have considerable knowledge of contemporary art and design. They will be a professional and excellent communicator who has had experience of working within a comparable environment, particularly in the area of client relations. They will be highly organized with the ability to work on their own initiative, meet deadlines, drive sales and achieve results.
This newly-created role is open to candidates who may work at Joseph Walsh Studio or may wish to work remotely on a contract basis. In time, travel to exhibitions and fairs will be required. A full or part-time position will be considered.
