Architecture and design internship
at Mizzi Studio
Mizzi Studio is looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic intern to join its London studio.
The intern will have a minimum of one-two year’s professional experience to play an active role on a wide range of buildings, spaces and installations within the public realm and commercial sector in the UK and internationally. We seek only exceptionally gifted creatives who have a complete passion for design and enthusiasm for life!
The required individual should meet the following criteria:
- architecture or interior architecture/design degree essential
- minimum of one-two years’ experience in professional practice
- experience in conceptual thinking, presentations and communicating ideas to clients and rest of the design team with confidence
- ability to develop concept design sketches in to advanced 3D Models and environments
- ability to develop the design of bespoke elements in to technical detail fit for site or costing purposes
- good visualisation and rendering skills
- excellent all round technical knowledge and attention to detail in every aspect
- ability to work independently on their own initiative as well as part of the team
- should be enthusiastic, inventive, energetic
- the candidate must be fluent in English, both written and verbally, and can work in the UK full-time
Computer skills
- strong proficiency in 3D modelling within Rhino and Google SketchUp
- strong 2D technical detailing and drafting skills within AutoCAD
- fluent in Photoshop and InDesign
- basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Bonus skills
- knowledge of Autodesk Revit
- knowledge of Autodesk Maya
- Grasshopper knowledge
- industrial design experience
- advanced and Nurbs and T-Splines modelling
- product knowledge for elements within bathrooms, kitchens, lighting and electrical design would be advantageous
- understanding of the RIBA plan of work and work stages of the industry

Salary is £1,250 per month with a view to full-time employment on competitive industry rates at end of internship.
