Mid-weight interior designer

Base Interior is looking for a mid-weight interior designer to join its practice in London.
Base Interior is an award-winning studio with UK and international residential projects who are looking for a multi-skilled, creative and experienced interior designer to join their London studio. This position is for a qualified, confident designer, with three to four years experience in high-end interior projects.
We are looking for someone who is proactive and organised in order to work as part of a team across multiple projects. They will be expected to put together schemes and presentations and work within deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communications are essential, in order to liaise between multiple parties, including clients, contractors and architects.
Experience in formatting and producing CAD drawing packages is essential as well as a good knowledge of FF&E as you will be involved in producing schedules and orders. Strong ability in putting together finishes and material schedules is also required.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player who is happy to help with many of the day-to-day operations of a design studio.
Requirements:
- proficiency in AutoCAD is essential
- experience in drawing tender packages including architectural details, joinery, furniture and construction drawings
- proficient in Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office
- three to four plus years of relevant experience in luxury residential projects
- degree/diploma in interior design, architecture or equivalent
- English fluency essential
- responsive, self-motivated and team-player
- passion for design, detailing and fabrication
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
