Gillespies is seeking a senior landscape architect and planner to join its team in London or Oxford, UK.

About the role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced senior landscape architect and planner with good knowledge of GIS  and experience in landscape and visual assessment and landscape character assessment to join our studio in London or Oxford to provide creative, technical and planning expertise on a variety of exciting UK and International projects.

The role will require you to work alongside an existing team of landscape architects and a collaborative approach is essential.

Successful applicants must demonstrate a passion for landscape architecture, have good graphic and proven illustration skills, as well as excellent technical abilities and proven proficiency in using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite package and Microsoft office. Revit experience would be an advantage but is not essential. Good knowledge and proven experience of working with GIS and proven experience of delivery of quality LVIA is a must in this role.

You must be available to start immediately or within no longer than a month.

Requirements:

  • must possess a bachelor’s degree in either landscape architecture, urban design or architecture
  • must have landscape and visual assessment and landscape character assessment
  • possess a minimum of two years’ professional experience in delivering UK and international landscape projects
  • good knowledge and previous experience of working with GIS; strong AutoCAD, SketchUp, visualisation and Photoshop skills
  • excellent organisation and presentation skills
  • solid construction knowledge and the ability to put together high-quality technical drawing packages
  • proven ability in the delivery of large-scale, complex landscape projects in the UK and/or internationally
  • proven experience in delivering planning applications, report writing, dealing with client and landscape contractors as well as good tendering and on-site experience is a must
  • ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
