Marketing and communications assistant
at INK
INK is seeking a marketing and communications assistant to join its team in London.
INK is a digital production studio based in Islington specialising in CGI, animation, design and retouching. We are on the lookout for a talented and hardworking addition to our team to assist with external communications, new business, marketing and media relations in a fast-paced production environment. The marketing and communications assistant will work closely with the creative producers to strengthen INK’s marketing and new business team.
You will be responsible for drafting and sharing news releases, stories and content across a range of channels that celebrate and promote awareness of the studio and our projects. Working alongside the creative management and senior teams, you will help plan marketing campaigns and implement communications strategies for all studio’s projects. You will be expected to build and strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders and influencers (media contacts or organisations etc.) in order to support marketing and communications strategies. You will also be expected to feed into the new business process and help with project management as and when required. Whilst the focus is written communications, a good eye for visuals and the ability to link visuals with the written word is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will have graduated or have proven experience in marketing communications. They will be proactive and organised, with a passion for the creative world such as design, photography or animation.
Day to day
The role will be varied, fast-paced and involve supporting the running of the external communications in the studio and management of new business, with a variety of responsibilities including:
- assisting producers in all phases of external, publicity and marketing communications
- supporting the new business team (e.g. pitching, bidding) and building client relationships
- liaising with external suppliers and partners where required
- producing and coordinating regular and engaging content across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and LinkedIn, creating marketing content and supporting PR activities and events
- writing and distributing press materials including news releases, social media posts, newsletters etc
- responsible for office management, including ordering and managing supplies for the studio, organising social events for the team
- corresponding with clients to clarify questions and collect data when needed
- liaising with external suppliers to arrange services necessary for projects
- creating budgets and schedules for new projects
- responsible for keeping the central project management system up to date
While the above is not an exhaustive list of duties, as a true team player you will be expected to provide cross-functional support across our teams depending on the studio needs and business objectives.
