Account manager
at Caro Communications
Caro Communications is seeking an account manager to join its team in London.
We’re looking for a talented and ambitious account manager to join our fun, friendly and focused team in Clerkenwell. The successful candidate will work in a supportive environment on a diverse and exciting range of projects for clients across design and lifestyle sectors.
Caro is a creative communications agency at the heart of the design community. We know that design has the power to tackle the challenges of a changing world – from the climate emergency to the digital revolution and from sustainable futures to equality. We are cultural, connected and collaborative.
At Caro Communications we amplify great design with great communication across multiple channels. We work strategically for global brands, cultural institutions, tech innovators, designers, thinkers, makers, architects and developers of the built environment. We shape profiles, narratives, campaigns, events, networks and reputations. We tell stories by connecting with people.
The role
This account manager position requires at least three years’ experience in a similar role within communications, so you’ll currently be working at senior account executive level, or higher.
As part of our design team you’ll work under the guidance of an account director with the support of an account executive and content manager. This is a client-facing role and you’ll be working closely with Caro’s clients across design, lifestyle and culture – so demonstrable interest in these fields and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. An aptitude for teamwork is a must, and you’ll thrive on developing and steering exciting cross-disciplinary collaborations.
We’re looking for a highly competent, self-motivated individual with the ambition to develop new skills. You’ll need to possess a solid grounding in working with different media channels and you’ll contribute exciting ideas, enthusiasm and influencer contacts.
Coordinating PR activities, launches, press office and event management while keeping clients up to date with team activities is part of the day-to-day picture. This role requires writing skills, and you’ll need to know how to put a press pack together as well as being able to draft an effective pitch for a feature or a trade article.
A key focus will be building positive relationships with UK and international media in line with our clients’ strategic objectives, and you’ll be comfortable proactively selling in news stories, profiles and features. Excellent time-management, organisational and administrative skills come with the territory and you’ll need to have experience of multitasking, working under pressure and problem solving on the go. Salary in accordance with experience.
This is a full-time role based in our London office.
To apply please submit your CV and a short cover letter outlining your suitability for the role, salary expectations and stating your notice period (if applicable). Applications should be submitted by clicking the ‘apply’ button below (max file size 5mb).
