IT assistant

Maccreanor Lavington is hiring an IT assistant to join its London studio.
Maccreanor Lavington is a multi-award winning, design led architectural practice with offices in Rotterdam and London. We are currently looking for an IT assistant to work in our London studio. Working alongside the IT manager, you will be the initial point of contact, supporting users over the
phone, remotely and face to face. You will have strong experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Windows 10, as well as Office365 and administration. As the IT assistant, you will also serve as the first point of contact for IT support and responding to incidents. You should have the ability to prioritise incidents and requests, and assign to other team
members if required.
We are looking for someone who is driven, has a positive and enthusiastic outlook and can be a good team player. It is important that you are flexible, willing to collaborate and are a good communicator.
Responsibilities:
- support and assist the IT manager
- act as first line IT Support for daily troubleshooting issues
- support all levels of users
- process leavers and starters
- implement new technologies
- set up new equipment
- repair equipment and replace parts
- set up printers and scanners
- reallocate equipment based on the projects requirement
- set up accounts and ensure that users know how to log in
- assign new licences
- implement new software
- plan and undertake scheduled maintenance upgrades
- investigate, diagnose and solve computer software and hardware
faults
Skills and knowledge:
- knowledge of Exchange, Active Directory, Windows 10, VoIP is
essential - knowledge of Exchange 2010, Office365, SAN technologies, VMWare,
Autodesk Software, Adobe CCs RMM is desirable, however training can
be provided - excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
- good communication skills and positive ‘can do’ attitude
- patient and willing to share knowledge
- enthusiasm for continual learning and new challenges
- physically fit and capable of lifting and moving equipment
- willingness to sometimes work unsociable hours, if necessary
- logical, and capable of analysing technical issues
- good at multitasking
