Senior account executives
at Caro Communications
Caro Communications is seeking senior account executives to join its team in London.
We’re looking for two talented and ambitious senior account executives to join our fun, friendly and focused teams in Clerkenwell. The successful candidates will work in a supportive environment on a diverse and exciting range of projects for clients across either architecture and property, or design and culture sectors respectively.
Caro is a creative communications agency at the heart of the architecture and design community. We know that design has the power to tackle the challenges of a changing world – from the climate emergency to the digital revolution and from sustainable futures to equality. We are cultural, connected and collaborative.
At Caro Communications we amplify great design with great communication across multiple channels. We work strategically for global brands, cultural institutions, tech innovators, designers, thinkers, makers, architects and developers of the built environment. We shape profiles, narratives, campaigns, events, networks and reputations. We tell stories by connecting with people.
The role
Our senior account executive positions require at least two years’ experience in a similar role within communications, so you’ll currently be working at account executive level, or higher. As part of either team, you’ll work under the guidance of an account director with the support of an account manager and content manager.
This is a client-facing role and you’ll be working closely with Caro’s clients across either architecture and property, or design and culture – so demonstrable interest in these fields and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. An aptitude for teamwork is a must, and you’ll thrive on contributing to cross-disciplinary collaborations.
We’re looking for highly competent, self-motivated individuals with the ambition to develop new skills. You’ll need to possess a solid grounding in working with different media channels and you’ll contribute exciting ideas, enthusiasm and influencer contacts.
Coordinating PR activities, launches, press office and event management is part of the day-to-day picture.
This role will include:
- proactively approaching and building relationships with journalists
- fulfilling and recording press enquiries
- reporting, evaluating and monitoring incoming media coverage
- client reporting
- updating our press database
- handling images and, when needed, press loans
- drafting and distributing press releases
- drafting and issuing press pitches
- supporting the team during events
- proactively monitoring and contributing to social media
- proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, and Excel is also desirable
A key focus will be building positive relationships with UK and international media in line with our clients’ strategic objectives. Excellent time-management, organisational and administrative skills come with the territory and you’ll need to have experience of multitasking, working under pressure and problem solving on the go. Salary in accordance with experience.
This is a full-time role based in our London office.
To apply please submit your CV and a short cover letter outlining your suitability for the role, salary expectations and stating your notice period (if applicable). Applications should be sent using the ‘apply’ link below.
