Part 2 architectural assistant
at Project London
Project London is seeking a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
We are searching for an exceptional, hands on, proactive Part 2 architectural assistant to help our clients create their dream home. You will be required to consider the intended purposes of each project and oversee the process from concept to completion.
Note: this is a client-facing role so outgoing personality with the ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships is essential. You will be based in our office in Parsons Green, London

We take projects from concept through to completion, handling everything from the gathering of initial planning permissions and licences, through to the build itself, designing and supplying bespoke architectural glass, kitchens, joinery and taking care of the procurement of finishes.

Requirements:
- previous practice experience
- strong design, technical, graphic and creativity skills
- great communication skills and customer service
- excellent understanding of UK planning and building regulations
- strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- fully versed in 2D and 3D Vectorworks. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop/InDesign
- proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
- good technical understanding of construction methods and detailing
- ability work on multiple projects and maintain outstanding customer service
- impeccable attention to detail and outstanding time management skills
- ability to work as part of a team and independently
- be able to work over multiple locations. Most of the projects will be within London, but occasionally you may be required to visit clients outside London
- driving license and access to a vehicle preferred
Responsibilities:
- preparing and developing planning, technical, production information and full RIBA stages 1 – 6
- involvement in the coordination of designs with other members of the team
- closely working with the project architect, assisting in the development of design proposals
- meeting/liaising with clients to ascertain the intended functions and appearance of each space and project whilst providing an excellent customer service
- preparing drawings, visualisations (CG’s, renders, etc) schedules and reports
- designing and coordinating joinery and kitchen designs
- coordinate our architectural information with the design team consultants including engineers, surveyors, heritage bodies, local authorities, and onsite trades
- working closely with our sister construction company to ensure the smooth running of on-site processes
- visit sites to measure, evaluate and oversee the project
- work within project deadlines, completing work to the highest standard
- develop long terms collaborative business relationships with customers and suppliers
