Technical designer/CAD technician

1508 London is looking for a technical designer/CAD technician to join its team in London.
We are a London-based design studio that creates exceptional spaces for some of the most prestigious projects in the world. We do a range of private residential projects, residential developments and commercial projects, both in the UK and internationally.
We are looking for a junior/mid technical designer/CAD technician to join our growing team to help deliver some large Stage 3 and Stage 4 drawing packages. This is a permanent position but we would also consider contract work and freelancers.
Requirements:
- exceptional AutoCAD skills
- good technical knowledge
- an interest in high-end design and detailing
- an interest in interior design and interior architecture
- experience in Stage 3 and Stage 4 drawing packages
- experience in high-end joinery design and detailing (is ideal)
- experience in project co-ordination
- enthusiastic, positive and proficient
- willing to learn and progress
Core duties:
- work with a team of interior designers and architects to help produce tender and construction packages
- work with a wider team to ensure project co-ordination
- ensure all drawings and document packages are in line with the practice quality manual
- help produce and set up drawing issue sheets, drawing codes and sheet set manager
- help monitor and manage the CAD output on a project
