Hours: part-time, 18 hours per week
The Architectural Association was founded in 1847, opening as a day school in 1901. The AA is committed to public benefit attained by the learning, teaching, discussion and promotion of architecture. The School is recognised as a worldwide leader in architectural education, with graduates that include many of the world’s leading architects, scholars, critics and educators. The academic and professional programmes of study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, up to and including doctoral level, are validated by external professional and academic bodies.
Role overview
We are seeking two vibrant and energetic staff to join the model workshop at the AA School.
The ethos of the workshops at the Architectural Association is to create a safe and supportive environment for students and staff to complete their school work and AA projects. Technical staff are fundamental to achieving this aim and their role is to support, assist and advise students with their architectural model making and other fabrication work. This involves the use of a broad variety machinery, equipment, techniques and materials as well as maintaining a disciplined and safe working environment
There are two working patterns available:
- A – Wednesday to Friday, 15:00 to 21:00
- B – Thursday to Friday, 15:00 to 21:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 17:00
