Holmes Miller Architects is looking for experienced Part 2 assistants to join its London studio.
Holmes Miller is an award winning architectural practice which fosters the talents of our staff to deliver unique and personal responses to the built environment. We work with the best clients who share our vision and passion to deliver solutions that innovate and delight.
The practice currently employs almost 100 staff with 60+ staff in the UK from its design studios in London and Glasgow together with 30+ Staff in Guangzhou (PRC).
The Part 2 assistant role involves:
- working directly for architects and directors across varying project stages
- developing design information, and working in collaboration with consultants, and local authority planning and building control teams
- under direction of directors, design, develop and deliver projects at all stages in process
- preparing drawings, specifications and other information.
- developing building models in Autodesk REVIT and other software platforms
The successful candidate will:
- be passionate about exceeding Client’s expectations in service delivery
- enjoy working as part of a team
- have a proven experience working on projects from concept to completion
- be capable of producing high quality designs, detailed construction drawings and specifications
- have excellent working knowledge of current UK planning guidelines, building regulations and technical standards
- have strong organisational skills – able to work well under pressure and manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines
- have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- be proficient in the use of REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp
- particular experience in working with existing/listed buildings or within the residential sector would be beneficial
