Continued significant growth has created the opportunity for a Graduate to work on several projects both in the public and private sectors for a wide range of clients.
About the role
As part of the company’s growth plans, we are currently looking for a graduate technical specialist to join our team based in the heart of London’s west end. The role will require you to support the principal team specialist to provide a high standard of support ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across a range of ORSA activities as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The successful and ambitious graduate technical specialist will benefit from tailored APC support, unlimited internal training, and an opportunity to progress with a forward-thinking, sociable consultancy based in the heart of the west end.
Key responsibilities
- work effectively as a member of the team to provide support to key activities as directed by the principal team specialist (PTS)
- sstablish and maintain good working relationships in contributing to the delivery of an efficient support service
- support the PTS with project management, employers agent duties and fire inspection and engineering reporting duties
- responsible for projects document control
- work closely with the other ORSA teams including the finance team
Key activities:
- ensure projects are completed on budget and to schedule
- advise clients on schemes and projects and determine requirements
- prepare scheme designs with costings, programmes for completion of projects and specification of works
- organise documents for tender and advise on appointing contractors, designers, and procurement routes
- determine the condition of existing buildings, identify, and analyse defects, including proposals for repair
- advise on the management and supervision of maintenance of buildings
- deal with planning applications and advise on property legislation and building regulations
- instruct on construction design and management regulations
- advise on the health and safety aspects of buildings
- prepare insurance assessments and claims
Job candidate
The ideal candidate for this role would have:
- BSc or MsC in building surveying, architectural technology or similar
- excellent communicator
- keen to take ownership of challenges
- client-facing with the soft skills required to build internal/external relationships
- document control/technical experience and familiarity with construction terminology
- familiarity with construction information portals
- career-driven and looking to embark on your APC journey
- strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Contract: full time
Salary: £21,000 – £25,000 depending upon experience
