OMA is looking for an experienced recruiter to join our human resources team on a full time basis. This position is for an initial 12 month period, with longer term prospects.
As recruiter at OMA, you will be the go-to person, managing the full cycle of the recruitment process for a variety of roles within the company. While the human resources department operates from our head office in Rotterdam, OMA’s employees are located across Rotterdam, New York, Hong Kong and Sydney. International experience in the design and built environment industry is a strong asset, as the main focus of our recruitment efforts is on sourcing and selecting architects and other built environment professionals to join our offices worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a recruiter, with a deep understanding of both recruitment and HR processes, excellent communication skills, and an advanced ability to develop recruiting strategies for the sourcing, evaluation and selection of designers and architects.
Responsibilities:
- manage the full recruitment cycle for a variety of roles in a well-established international architecture and design practice
- support the hiring team in identifying the best candidates, setting interview evaluation criteria and ensuring interviews are conducted professionally and efficiently
- build talent pools for potential positions; partner with universities and other industry sources to identify established and upcoming talent in the industry and maintain a database of this network
- conduct research to map the markets we work in, generate candidate profiles, and develop effective sourcing strategies in close collaboration with our hiring managers and teams
- coordinate and conduct interviews and lead portfolio evaluation meetings
- deliver results with little supervision and through strong, independent recruitment efforts
- negotiate employment packages and facilitate new hire processes
- coordinate employment contracts and onboarding processes with the rest of the HR team
- perform other related duties as assigned
The successful candidate will have:
- bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- four plus years of experience in a recruitment function, preferably within an international office working in the built environment or other creative industry
- advanced ability to develop recruitment strategies, select and evaluate top candidates for a range of positions
- proven ability to build and maintain relationships with industry partners and key contacts
- excellent negotiation skills
- familiar with internet based tools for sourcing candidates and managing applications
- excellent command of the English language – written and spoken (Dutch and/or other languages are an asset)
- thrive in a fast-paced environment where agility is required
We appreciate the interest of all candidates, but only those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted. The selected candidate is expected to start in January/February 2022.
