Studio assistant – maternity cover

Rock Townsend is seeking a maternity cover studio assistant to join its team in London.
Rock Townsend is a young, award-winning architectural practice based in London Waterloo. We are looking for a studio assistant to work with our teams and assist in the day-to-day running of the office. The role will focus on reception, facilities, and administration tasks, with scope to get involved in graphics, marketing and project work depending on the candidate’s skills and interests.
We are looking for someone positive, energetic, organised and with a bit of common sense! Some experience in an office is preferred. Design/graphic skills and an interest in architecture would be a bonus. Please be aware that this is an administration role and we are not looking for applications from junior architects.
While we have been working from home during the Covid pandemic once appropriate we would envisage this as being primarily an office-based role. Hours can be flexible to suit, equating to c4 days/week.
Please note this role is initially for maternity cover, starting in Feb/March 2022.
Salary according to experience.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- reception duties
- monitoring studio email account
- general admin/some PA duties for partners
- office/facilities management
- marketing administration
- financial administration
Possible tasks (training provided) include:
- updating brochures and CVs in Adobe InDesign
- social media/blog posts + updating website
- assisting with events
- assisting with bids
- recruitment
