Bid producer and designer

Piercy&Company is looking for a talented bid producer and designer to join its London studio.
Piercy&Company is a London based practice of 80 plus architects, designers, researchers and strategists working within a studio space we designed to support our passion for materials, form, technology and craft. We describe our studio as a total design house, a place for active production, dialogue and research. It is an intra and interdisciplinary workshop and the interactions that happen in the areas between and within disciplines are an important ingredient in our work.
The bid producer is a new role within our new business team, which exists to help develop our studio’s varied portfolio of projects, primarily based in the UK.
Leading the production of engaging documents and presentations that will be used to pitch to prospective clients, the person in this position the bid producer will help secure new exciting projects for the studio.
The ideal person for the role will be adept at graphic design, creating bespoke visual identities for each document/presentation that resonate with the architectural approach devised by the pitch team. They will need to ensure that the visual and text-based content is clear, approachable and engaging and whilst creating striking and beautiful layouts to inspire our diverse mix of clients. They will be passionate about design and architecture and have an exceptional eye for detail.
They will enjoy working proactively and collaboratively, especially with the wider new business team that includes several directors. They will understand the strategic ambitions of the studio and use this to create an original and meaningful approach to our documents and presentations.
Reporting into the pitch lead, the role covers:
- producing bids, pitches, EOIs, PQQs and client presentations
- updating senior team on current and potential opportunities
- maintaining and updating in-house databases and image library, documents and project information to support the quick production of documents
The role will also support the communications team by providing layout and graphic design for other in-house documents including marketing material, events invitations, award submissions and the like as needed. From time to time the studio works with external agencies for one-off marketing/communications projects and this role will play a key role in supporting the work of external agencies.
Required skills and experience:
- strong graphic design skills
- good written and verbal communication skills
- understanding and experience of the architectural industry
- proficiency in InDesign
- knowledge of Photoshop
- very detail-oriented, accurate and thorough
- works well as part of a team and takes initiative when needed
- ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at one time
Desirable skills and experience:
- photography skills
- animation
- Illustrator
Remuneration is dependent upon experience.
