De Zwarte Hond is looking for an architectural model maker to join its team in Rotterdam.
Role: architectural model maker (32-40 hours a week, Rotterdam)
Design agency De Zwarte Hond has approximately 130 employees who work from Groningen, Rotterdam and Cologne. With our expertise in the fields of architecture, urban planning and research, we add value to every assignment and to every urban-regional context. We are fully committed to our designs, and we also take responsibility for their realisation: the end result must be just as ambitious and beautiful as the first ideas that we
bring to the table.
Through a combination of social commitment and design artisanship, we make the Netherlands and Germany better and more beautiful. We design and advise on all scale levels, from interior to region. We can compete with the best Dutch firms in both architectural and urban-planning terms. Now we aim to grow further in the international market.
We have great plans for the future – which is why we are looking for an ambitious architectural model maker.
We are looking for a colleague with:
- a strong affinity for architecture and urban planning
- the ability to make really beautiful models while having a lot of fun doing it
- demonstrable relevant work experience in a creative work environment
- good communication skills (assertive and able to take the initiative)
- both independence and a good team spirit
- a lot of patience and precision, and a creative mind
- an ability to work closely with your fellow designers, to translate our design vision into spatial models
- experience with relevant computer software (3D printing) and reading design drawings such as situation drawings, plans, façades and cross-sections
- experience with the latest techniques for creating inspiring models
