Asif Khan Studio is seeking talented Part 1 architectural assistants to join its team in London.

Ambitious individuals with strong conceptual design and presentation skills are encouraged to apply. Candidates should be creative, meticulous and proactive, and able to demonstrate excellent organisational and technical ability. The opportunity offers the experience to work on highly design-led architecture projects both in the UK and around the world.

The role will offer a balance of digital software-based architectural design with physical fabrication in the studio’s expansive in-house workshop and prototyping spaces. Candidates with a strong interest in materials and making processes are encouraged to apply,

About the studio

Asif Khan Studio is an architecture practice designing buildings, landscapes, exhibitions and installations, among other things. Asif’s ethos is to design spaces for the people and activities who occupy a place, but in a way that challenges the orthodoxies and generalities of established typologies. Based in east London, the studio is known for its future-facing collaborations with artists, scientists and craftspeople, together exploring how material and social innovations can fundamentally alter the way people experience and shape their environment. Current projects include the new Museum of London, the waterfront transformation for National Museums Liverpool, and a bridge in Canada Water. The Studio recently completed a number of highly acclaimed projects for Expo 2020, including the public realm, Portals, Observation Tower, and Worker’s Monument. Asif received an MBE for services to architecture in 2017 and was awarded Architect of the Year in 2018 by the German Design Council.
