Make is hiring an image librarian to join its team in London.

Position: London studio based, full-time, permanent role.

We’re looking for a skilled image librarian to fulfil a creative and diverse role within a branded framework. The chosen candidate will join Make’s award-winning graphics team, working with three graphic designers and a photographer, as well as the wider communications team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum four years of relevant experience and an ability to hit the ground running. They will report to the head of graphics. This role will be key to ensuring our project assets are efficiently catalogued at every stage and easily accessible for project architects and the Communications team to access on a daily basis.

Start date is as soon as possible.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • administration of internal image library using OpenAsset
  • digital asset management, which includes captioning, keywording and cataloguing
  • administration of image rights-related issues and copyright policies
  • liaising with project architects on a daily basis to catalogue image and film assets
  • liaising with photographers when required
  • providing architects with image and film asset assistance where needed
  • training staff in the use of the image library
  • providing a monthly update on the latest assets entering the image library
  • providing technical support for OpenAsset across all studios

Experience and skills required:

  • self-motivated and proactive, with a strong work ethic
  • a passion for attention to detail on assets
  • able to work independently and self-manage own time
  • experience working with graphic designers and photographers
  • fluency in OpenAsset
  • knowledge of Photoshop

Also beneficial:

  • familiarity with the architectural design process
  • a keen interest in the urban environment
  • experience working with architects
