Studio manager

Adam Khan Architects is seeking a studio manager to help with the day-to-day running of its London practice.

We are looking for a bright, ambitious, communicative person with a positive attitude, attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. The position encompasses a variety of responsibilities with the possibility to grow and develop.

We are a small, friendly, award-winning practice engaged with significant urban renewal and arts projects in London and across Europe. We are socially and environmentally conscious and are looking for someone who can share our ethos and keenness to improve the world around us, with a sensitivity to design and graphic material and a desire to develop your understanding of architecture and design

You should be fluent in using Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel. Knowledge of Adobe Suite – InDesign, Acrobat and Xero is desirable.

Working hours are flexible – part-time is possible.

Salary is competitive and depends on experience.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.

This position involves

Studio administration:

  • managing incoming calls and emails
  • looking after the studio premises
  • supporting the architects team with IT related needs
  • providing PA support to senior associates and directors, including diary arrangements

Finance and insurance:

  • liaising with bookkeeper regarding invoices
  • liaising with insurance broker

HR:

  • keeping record of holidays and being present for all employees queries
  • liaising with payroll and pension providers
  • presentations/PR
  • assisting with entries for design awards
  • assisting with bids submissions

  • highly organised and good attention to detail
  • natural communicator and strong interpersonal skills
  • good team player, equally confident in working using own initiative
  • good IT skills
  • previous experience as studio manager in a similar field advisable
