White Arkitekter is hiring a studio manager to join its team in London.

We are seeking a positive, proactive and enthusiastic Studio Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our growing London studio. This role would suit someone who loves working with a range of different people, who is excited by a diverse workload, and has an interest in Scandinavian culture. Key responsibilities:

  • ensuring that the studio runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis
    This includes facilities management, ordering stationery and supplies, organising IT requirements, coordinating mail, making deliveries, a small amount of ad hoc administration for the team and generally keeping the studio organised, as well as assisting the partners with resource planning.
  • financial management – this involves processing invoices, card and expense receipts, reporting to our central finance department
  • staff wellbeing – this ranges from working with our central HR team on new starter inductions, holiday and sickness tracking, to helping arrange social events and trips for staff, maintaining a positive atmosphere for all
  • quality assurance – ensuring that our policies and procedures are in line with UK requirements, as well as their implementation, e.g. helping with the health and safety audit, keeping a record of staff CPD, writing/ amending policies and the staff handbook as required, working with the central team to help introduce company-wide QA initiatives, etc.
  • front-of-house – welcoming visitors, answering the phone, fixing refreshments, making people feel comfortable and at home at White
  • PA to studio director – diary management and email monitoring, as well as working with the studio director to keep the London action plan updated

Minimum requirements

  • three years’ of practice management experience, preferably in the built environment
  • eligibility to work within the UK

Desirable

  • an understanding of Scandinavian culture
  • Swedish language skills

This is a full time position but part-time and flexible working proposals will be considered.
