HTA Design is seeking an HR manager to join its team in London.

Contract: permanent

HTA Design has an exciting opportunity for an experienced generalist HR manager to join its small busy HR team based in East London.

This is a highly operational generalist role covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle, providing advice on the full range of HR and employment matters.

You will work in collaboration with our Head of HR and other managers and leaders to help deliver HTA’s vision, values, and the ambitions of our Business Plans. You will help HTA maintain our position as an employer of choice through our commitment to the continuous improvement and care of our people.

To be considered, the successful candidate will have:

  • proven extensive experience of working in a similar operational generalist HR role, preferably within the architectural, built environment, or other creative sector
  • CIPD level 7 qualified (Associate CIPD) is preferred
  • experience of managing and coaching others within a business
  • first class interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong collaborative internal and external working relationships at all levels
  • the confidence and gravitas to act as a trusted advisor, and the ability to coach and counsel colleagues at all levels
  • strong people management skills with the ability to delegate effectively and actively support the development of others
  • an astute decision maker able to prioritise effectively, apply critical judgement, weigh up options, and provide clear, informed, and knowledgeable advice
  • able to solve problems effectively and creatively
  • strong organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to manage time well and meet deadlines
  • sound Microsoft Office 365 applications skills and knowledge (e.g. Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word). Adobe InDesign would be a bonus
  • a sound working knowledge of employment law and best HR practices.
  • knowledge of diversity and Inclusion best practices and wellbeing at work. Mental health first aid is desirable
