There is an opportunity at dMFK for a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.
About dMFK
dMFK were established in 2000 by Julian de Metz, Paul Forbes and Ben Knight. We are a friendly, close-knit and hard-working team working with high profile clients on a range of interesting projects. We are specialists in high quality contemporary workplaces, homes and community buildings, pushing the boundaries of design in all these areas. We aim to make approachable, warm and familiar architecture that puts the comfort and wellbeing of the user at the centre of our designs.
Our team currently comprises 34 talented, diverse architects, assistants, designers and support staff. We champion diversity, offer opportunities for professional growth and development, and promote a healthy work/life balance.
About you
You should have:
- excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills
- a passion and reasonable experience of/exposure to designing contemporary architecture and interiors
- a strong attention to detail
- a creative, proactive and self motivated approach
- a preference to work in our studio where possible
- be proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Cloud and MS Suite
- be keen and ambitious to develop and strengthen their architectural career
Desirables, but not essentials:
- experience within the commercial and/or residential sectors
- a working knowledge of Revit
- broad knowledge of all RIBA stages with some detailed experience
- exposure to project types similar to dMFK typical workload as shown on our website
