BIM/Revit technician
Gillespies is looking for a BIM/Revit technician to join its London-based practice.
Gillespies are currently looking for an experienced Revit technician to join their BIM team in the London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Revit modeller to join a multi-award winning landscape architectural and urban design firm in Clerkenwell, London
Role description:
- produce accurate Revit models with reliable BIM data according to the relevant BIM documentation -EIR/BEP
- assist with technical Revit support throughout the office and training other staff
- work in a collaborative BIM environment – working closely with other members of BIM team, as well as project managers and landscape architects
- manage large Revit models integrating multiple architecture, structures, MEP and infrastructures models. Query the models to identify clashes and design concerns
- work collaboratively with the project design team in various projects improving the workflow between AutoCAD, Revit and other design packages
- use the model for design studies and documentation and particularly further Revit’s capabilities for landscape design
- help develop Revit libraries and templates to help establish the company’s best practices in Revit
Skills and experience required:
- – in-depth working knowledge of REVIT and BIM enabling applications – minimum three years of experience
- a good understanding of BIM compliance documentation such as PAS 1192 with knowledge of BEP, EIR, Cobie and wider BIM applications
- excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to communicate and work alongside project leaders
- proficiency in BIM Level two, as per majority of our projects
Revit skills required:
- – setting up of shared coordinates
- Worksharing
- Family editor
- edit Revit topography
- manage data and creating Revit schedules
- adaptive components
- site designer
- Navisworks
- Civil 3D, Vectorworks, 3D Studio Max, advantageous but not essential
Landscape architectural background or experience and interest in the area would be of great advantage.
