Camron PR is hiring an account manager to join its team in New York.
Camron is seeking to appoint a new member for their team who can spearhead architecture and interior design. Working in close collaboration with our global offices, the clients range from hotels, architect firms, and interior designers. This person will become deeply integrated into complex client work, setting and executing high-level strategies and balancing day-to-day priorities across multiple accounts.
The ideal candidate for this role is intelligent and curious, with interest in and direct experience working on business and tech-led communications – from thought leadership to strategic initiatives. This role requires impeccable writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to quickly turn around written materials including strategies, press releases, client reports, and more.

This role is for a team that specializes in strategic communications, working in traditional media relations/PR and sophisticated communication strategies, messaging, and more. Success on this team requires a commitment to teamwork and collaboration, as well as passion for mentoring and supporting junior staff.
Responsibilities
Strategy:
- direct clients on press, events and overall strategy
- strategize and oversee press announcements
- write and produce client presentations, new business strategies and press releases
- lead on market research for strategy development and support in drafting of strategies
- lead creative brainstorms and put forth fresh ideas to the team
Client management:
- serve as a day-to-day lead with clients, driving strategies in place
- lead client calls, working with the team to develop agendas
- provide media training to executive level clients
- oversee event execution and delegation of tasks within the team
- manage weekly and monthly status reports for clients
- manage media monitoring with the team, delivering results to clients
- provide media training
Media relations:
- manage the development of customized media grids and lists to support editor pitching
- maintain relationships with senior media and serve as day to day contact for media
- generate feature placements across print and digital outlets
- develop pitch ideas, pitch press and secure media coverage
Leadership:
- engage, train, and support other employees on the team on the key elements they need to understand and deliver to be effective at their jobs, and to support their growth
- prioritize workload and help support workflow processes for team
- possess a range of non-media industry contacts that can be applied to either new business endeavors or client work
Experience and skills:
- three to five years’ public relations experience, with agency experience preferred
- experienced project manager and/or client lead–easily breaks complex projects into their component parts and then executes each piece
- team player with the ability to manage both up and down–from senior leadership to interns
- quick and precise writer and editor
- confident speaker and presenter; can hold the attention of a room (or Zoom) and provide counsel for executive-level clients
- curious and informed reader with a deep interest in news, trends, and events in the tech, design, arts, or culture space
- self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- can-do attitude – no job is too big or too small
